The DMV is Online.
Most People Don’t Know It.
The Problem: DMV visits are time consuming, inconvenient, and often frustrating, yet many people still default to going in person. In Colorado, a large number of residents were unaware of what services could be completed online, or did not trust that the digital option would be easier. The information existed, but it was buried and unclear. The challenge was to shift behavior by removing confusion and giving people a clear reason to change how they interact with the DMV.
If You Have a Phone,
You
Have the DMV
The Approach: We focused on making the message clear, human, and hard to ignore. DMV Anywhere. Yes, Anywhere positioned the service as flexible and accessible in everyday life. We used humor and exaggerated scenarios to show that if you have a phone and internet, you can get it done. This ran across print, outdoor, and digital, supported by clear guidance on available services and a simplified web experience that made next steps easy.
Fewer Trips. More Clicks.
The OutcomeThe campaign helped shift perception from the DMV as a place you have to go to a service you can access anywhere. More people engaged with online tools, explored available services, and chose digital over in person visits. Website traffic increased as users looked for answers and completed tasks online. Similar campaigns often drive ten to twenty percent growth in digital adoption, helping reduce in person visits while improving convenience for residents.
